See & Hear Moro Play
(1.3mb mpg.)       Hear Moro Play (1.2mb MP3)

There is no solo concert guitarist alive today who plays like Moro. No existing human teacher could have shown him more than a portion of what he does with the guitar. Moro's virtually unparallelled, original and exotic repertoire encompasses an astonishingly wide variety of magnificent originalities performed with uncompromising technique. An exciting composer-performer, he incorporates classical as well as flamenco and other gypsy influences. His hands and fingers move along the strings so effortlessly they seem to be touching air - so swiftly, at times, the eye cannot follow them. Transcending any sense of mechanical limitation, and playing as many as 120 notes per second, he then moves from lightning speed legatos into soaring, fingerpicked tremolo passages making the guitar warble. He can follow this with a samba, a ballad, a belly dance, and various deep, engrossing, endless melodious journeys.

Not only the composer of many classical and neoclassical works for the guitar, MORO is a gifted virtuoso guitarist.  Known in his early professional career as Buddy Bohn, he began to play (and wrote his first composition!) at the age of six and performed his first of many concerts when he was twelve years old. For fourteen years, he traveled the world in the quintessential style of the Troubadour, using only his guitar and the music he could produce from it as currency. This talented Minstrel has played in over 50 countries--for kings and queens in royal palaces, in beggars' quarters in African casbahs, on warships and in camel caravans.  During a command performance for King Bhumipol of Thailand, he was invited to perform  in Viet Nam, and  was the first entertainer to perform for American troops there.  He has won critical acclaim around the globe, not only for his incredible mastery of the guitar, but for his compositions as well. His audiences have included such notables as HRH Elizabeth II of England, HRH King Fredrick IX of Denmark and Pablo Picasso, to name just a few.  Rita Hayworth, Greer Garson and Paul Newman are among the attendees of private concerts he's performed. He has released over 60 recordings internationally, has won twenty-one consecutive ASCAP Awards and now records his works for the BUDWICK label exclusively.

He recorded his composition VERMOUTH RONDO with the London Philharmonic Orchestra; this recording is still enjoyed internationally by millions of listeners, and he has performed with such power players as Liza Minelli, Andy Williams, Little Richard, Joey Bishop, and Pat Paulsen.
